Round the Island Race
Competitors travel from all over the world to take part in the Round the Island Race.
This makes it one of the most popular fixtures on the Solent calendar with 1200+ boats taking part.
The Round the Island Race, organised by Island Sailing Club, is a handicapped race meaning that everyone from Olympic medallists to weekend sailors can compete on an equal basis.
The boats race anti clockwise around the Isle of Wight, starting at the Royal Yacht Squadron line and head west towards the Needles, sailing a total of 55 nautical miles.
The Race Crew Area is at Cowes Yacht Haven. We look forward to welcoming competitors and spectators alike.
